Our Accessibility Approach
Pride Vermont is committed to doing our best to ensure digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We work to provide an inclusive experience for all users, including those using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and voice control. We're continuously learning and improving.
Accessibility Goals
We aim to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This means we work toward:
Perceivable — Information presented in ways that can be perceived by all users, including those with visual or hearing disabilities
Operable — Functionality accessible via keyboard navigation and assistive technologies
Understandable — Content written clearly, with logical structure and proper headings
Robust — Compatibility with current and future assistive technologies
Accessibility in Our Design
We work to include accessibility features like descriptive alt text for images, keyboard navigation support, proper heading hierarchy, sufficient color contrast, and clear form labels. However, we're always learning and may miss things—we appreciate you letting us know.
Event Accessibility Information
We work to provide accessibility details so community members can make informed decisions. Including information about physical access, restroom facilities, sensory environment, language support, service animal policies, and on-site accommodations.
